{Exploring} Zendleser Kofel - Autumn Feelings


//EN// I'm back! After 3 weeks of skiing I've finally find the time to write a new blog post. A lot has happend in the time I was away and I'm really happy to be blogging again. To start again I have an exploring post for you. I took this pictures yesterday and I hope you like them.

{Guestpost} Travelling Oregon by Tanis Robert Justice

Most people don’t get to travel the way they want. More often than not we’re forced to take “staycations” rather than an extended vacation or holiday away. I’m fortunate enough to live in Oregon. Even our staycations are spent on a scenic hike or at the coast. If you have never thought of visiting the Oregon coast let me give you three reasons why you might want to reconsider.

Mt. Hood

Mt. Hood is the tallest mountain in Oregon. It’s popular among all outdoor enthusiasts. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a quick walk through the lush green meadows, or a more challenging hike to the high mountain lakes; Mt. Hood gives any hiker a place to stretch their legs. From the flowers in the spring, to the deep snow in the winter there isn’t a season that the outdoor enthusiast can’t feel at one with nature.

The Columbia River Gorge

The Columbia River Gorge starts just outside of Portland passing through a rain forest, desert, and alpine meadows. It is the largest national scenic area in the United States. It has a plethora of adventures waiting to be had. If the outdoors isn’t your thing then you can find dozens of art centers, small museums, wineries, and other recreational opportunities accompanied by the breathtaking views. As you follow almost parallel along the rails you might find yourself drifting into a not so distant past winding down these same highways only accessible mainly by train. You’ll follow the path of Lewis and Clark as you marvel at the dozens of waterfalls and sites like The Vista House.


The Oregon Coast

I’d like to introduce you to the Oregon Coast or as we call it here in Oregon, The Coast. Just like the Columbia River Gorge the Oregon Coast is filled with art centers, small museums, wineries, and other recreational opportunities. There are countless areas set aside for various ocean bound activities such as flying kites, skimboarding, and even surfing. With the tall sea grass and foamy ocean waves crashing to shore it paint a picture of a very simple and happy life. Watching the waves will encourage you to let go of all the troubles that stress you and just soak in the glorious vibes that excite all of your senses. As much as I love the ocean and museums I really love the food. I love my trips down the coast because of there are so many places that challenge your perception of your favorite foods. It doesn’t matter if you’re a meat and potatoes guy or a hard core vegan The Coast has something for you.


The fact of the matter is whether you’re looking for a daytrip, a weekend getaway, or a few weeks without seeing anyone Oregon has it all. I’ve only touched on a few places that make up the reasons why The Pacific Northwest is such a wonderful place to visit. Don’t take my word for it. Come visit.

{Guest Post} Health Benefits of Running by healthfoodtips

Running is probably the most popular and well known cardiovascular exercise around. It gives the best results in fitness and weight loss than any other and you don't need to be a member of a gym to do it. All you need is a good pair of trainers, something comfortable to exercise in and you are off!
So once you've got going, below are some of the benefits you will gain from your new running regime!


Studies show that runners find it easier to get to sleep at night and I can definitely confirm that one.

Heart benefits

Running is one of the best ways to give your heart muscles an effective workout and also by running regularly you can improve your circulation, reduce the risk of events such as a stoke or conditions like high blood pressure, or even a heart attack

Weight loss

Running is a big calorie burner and in one hour you can burn as many as 1,000 calories. That’s like half of your daily recommended intake in one hour!! Running fast will burn more calories than running slowly, but even a slow run will burn more calories than almost any other cardiovascular exercise, making it the top exercise if you want to drop a few pounds.

Mental health and happiness

Running is known to lift your mood. It can also help build your confidence as it can be a big factor in reaching weight loss or fitness goals, leading to improved self esteem and confidence in yourself. Endorphins that are released through exercise make you happier... this isn’t a myth! If you are a runner you will know what I am talking about, whether you feel it during your run or afterwards, I personally never come out of a run in a bad mood, its almost impossible (unless I fall or something (which has only happened once), but even that can’t always ruin my mood).

Fat burn

By running, you are building up more lean muscle and improving your metabolism. The more lean muscle you have, the quicker and more effectively you are able to burn fat and calories. Lean muscle does weigh more than fat, but that isn’t a problem when trying to reduce your body fat index etc. You will see a healthy inch loss if combined with a proper healthy diet.


As I mentioned already, running helps improve your circulation, which in turn improves the transportation of nutrients throughout your body. This will help flush out any toxins and as a result, improve your complexion.
From my own experiences of running, I can confirm that all of these benefits listed above are true. I have experienced every one of them. I am always shocked to see how many calories I have burnt after a cycle compared to if I had gone for a run for the same amount of time. 
You have to be in the right mind to run though as well, if you aren’t feeling it, this can impact on your run and if you are looking to improve in terms of pace, distance or overall time, then those runs where you weren’t in to it weigh on your mind more, but in my own experience, they make me work harder the next time, to prove to myself I am better than my last run.
Running is definitely my favourite exercise and it has completely helped me in my own weight loss regime and fitness. It doesn’t always have to be about weight loss, just general fitness is some people’s goals and for me it was both. Running isn’t always my favourite before I begin a run, but by the end there is nothing better than running for me.
